Exmouth Town Council approves thirteen community grants – Press Release

Thirteen not-for-profit organisations have been awarded grants totalling £48,000 by Exmouth Town Council for new and existing activity that will benefit Exmouth residents.

The Council’s grant scheme aims to support worthy community, voluntary and charitable organisations in the local area and provides one-off funding for modest capital projects, such as the provision of new equipment, as well as year-round financial support where the service provided is meeting a need that the Council believe to be important; or where the Council has asked the organisation to provide the service on the Council’s behalf.

Councillors approved funding to the following organisations at a meeting of the Council’s Finance Committee on March 21st 2024.

Exmouth Beach Rescue £1500.00

Exmouth Museum £2000.00

Councillor Alex Sadiq, Chair of the Council’s Finance Committee, said: “Exmouth Town Council recognises the immense value of voluntary and community activity and its contribution to residents’ well-being, the local economy and the sustainability of a wide range of services which benefit people living and working in the town.
